Morning ride around Damflask

This is an easy going on road route, suitable for ladies, who would like to improve their ability and confidence to cycle on the road. Although the route is suitable for all types of bikes, you may find it harder to cycle if you are on a mountain bike. We always cycle so that we stay together as a group and no one is ever left behind. We will start from Hillsborough Park next to the tennis courts. We will make our way to Loxley Road and take it steadily up to Low Bradfield via Loxley. We can decide on the day, depending on the ability of the group, which way we go once at Dam Flask but either way we will make our way in to the village of Low Bradfield, where we can stop for refreshments, before retracing our route back to Hillsborough Park. It is a good idea to wear comfortable clothing suited to the time of year, and the weather on the day of the ride. It is also a good idea to bring Spare inner tubes and a puncture repairs kit, in case of any punctures. A drink, money for the Car park and refreshment stop and anything else that you may feel you need to bring that can be carried easily, and not get in the way of the bike. Whilst helmets are not compulsory for adults, they are highly recommended due to the fact that we will be cycling in live traffic and on semi- rural lanes. Please arrive at Hillsborough Park 15 minutes before the advertised set off time, so you have time to prepare your bike, and take part in the necessary warm up and 'M' check before we set off.
