Moreton Village Hall Coffee & Books - figure of eight loop

We're shaking things up a little this autumn - rather than our 'tried and tested' route to the Dovecote Café at the Walled Garden in Moreton, there and back on NCN2, we're going to try the monthly coffee and books morning in Moreton Village Hall. We've also adapted the route to make it into a figure of eight rather than there and back.

Setting off from the historic Max Gate on the edge of Dorchester, we will head east out of town along our familiar NCN2 route of cycle path then quiet country lane through West Stafford and Woodsford until we reach Moreton Village Hall. Pausing there to browse the books (everything 25p - bring panniers or back pack if you think you'll be tempted!), drink coffee and eat cake, we will have plenty of time to catch up with friends old and new.

Refreshed and rejuvenated, we will then head back through Crossways before forming our 'figure of eight' by going north up Watery Lane towards Tincleton then turning left to sail past the Rusty Duck café before going through Bockhampton then the final stretch back to Max Gate.

This route is all on tarmac (cycle path or county lane) so any bicycle OK. At 16.5 flat miles, it's one for intermediate riders - probably a bit far for beginners just venturing out with Breeze. If you have any questions about the ride or route though, contact ride leader Alison on 07967 094967.
