Car parking is available on most roads south of St Mary's Lane, but please check for any signs as enforcement officers do work on Sundays. Otherwise Hall Lane playing fields car park is only 5 minutes cycle to the start, RM14 2AU

This Havering Cyclists ride is open for anyone to join

This ride is a Challenge 40+ ride Do you have a road bike? Do you have a basic repair kit and spare inner tube to fix any punctures or carry out minor repairs if needed? Are you comfortable cycling 30 miles+ at an average speed of 13-15mph? If the answer to ALL of these is YES, then this ride should be perfect for you! If not, why not think about trying some of our 'Steady' or shorter 'Challenging' rides first so you can build your confidence and fitness?

Led by experienced ride leaders, these rides are a great way to explore new places and to meet new people who enjoy cycling. They are suitable for all levels of experience, so whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist, you can find a ride that is right for you.

Please bring;

1. A lock for your bike,

2. Some money or a card with you if you wish to purchase refreshments at the stop,

3. A road worthy bike,

4. A spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers

5. A cycle helmet,

6. Comfortable clothes appropriate for the weather,

7. A drink & snack for along the way if needed.


Cancelling your place won’t be a problem just let us know before the ride so we will not waiting unnecessarily, especially if it’s raining.

Mainly on road with less than one mile gravel bridleway.

Stopping at North Weald Redoubt for some military history and North Weald Station cafe for coffee and sausage roll. Steam trains will be running on the EOR railway.
