Come and join us on a lovely family friendly loop to Moore and Daresbury, returning via the Bridgewater Canal.

We start at Sankey Valley car park, just off Cromwell Avenue, heading along the cycle path beside and then over the Sankey Canal. At Sankey Bridges we join the Trans Pennine Trail, following this over the River Mersey towards Lower Walton.

Just before the Great Western Mainline we turn right and follow the off-road track past Moore Nature Reserve, crossing over the Manchester Ship Canal and following it towards Moore. We wind our way through Moore Meadows before a gradual climb up towards the Daresbury Science Park and Bridgewater Canal.

Here we take the canal towpath as we turn to make our way back towards Warrington, passing the occasional narrow boat. Back in Moore, we head back down to cross over the Manchester Ship Canal before retracing our route to Sankey Valley Park.

We hope to stop off halfway at either a café or pub between Moore and Daresbury, details TBC soon.
