The car park at Phoenix bridge

We start at Phoenix Bridge car park, make our way up to Kirkland where we come up to Mockerkin. We then drop down onto the A595 for a while till we cross over and go up through Asby and back to the cycle path. This quite a hilly ride but nothing too outrageous, it's a nice leg stretcher, with a few hills to clean out those lungs. We do take the busy A595 but hopefully it shouldn't be too bad on a Saturday afternoon, also there is no cafe en route so please bring a snack to eat on Mockerkin green as well as any pick me ups that you might need. This ride probably isn't for beginners, but the route is all on good tarmac roads and will be suitable for all bike types and anyway we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable for the days forecast to cycle in. It is a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket, a spare inner tube and a bottle of water and we always recommend that you wear a cycle helmet.
