https://www.theparkstrust.com/events/white-ribbon-vigil/Established in 2020 the annual vigil enables Milton Keynes' citizens to mark their alliance with women and girls in our city and around the world, all of whom deserve to live free from violence.
The vigil resonates with people from all backgrounds, regardless of ethnicity, gender identity, age, religion, ability, or sexual orientation.
The gathering is symbolic of the partnership taking action to end violence against women in Milton Keynes. Partners include the local authority, police, health services, parishes, voluntary sector and civil society organisations, faith groups, educational establishments and businesses.
The gathering invokes a positive vision for our city’s future as it develops and grows.
THE RIDE ITSELF
We will meet at Bradwell Abbey (you may leave your car there) and we will cycle together on the redways to the MK Gallery to listen to invited speakers and then from there we will cycle together down to the Rose for the Vigil.
Please ensure your bike has lights, front and rear. We will be able to securely lock our bikes at MK Gallery cycle locker.
This is an opportunity to show solidarity with others in Milton Keynes (women, men of all backgrounds) who support an end to gender based violence.
