We will follow a figure-of-eight route (kindly shared with us by Katherine of Spokes) along peaceful, green traffic-free paths through parks and around many lakes, along cycle paths galore (MK is famous for its cycle path network) and by rivers and canals. At one point we will have to carry our bikes up a flight of steps. We also need to walk our bikes through two skinny, damp tunnels (see pics) but otherwise the ride is pretty flat though sometimes bumpy.

Note the time estimate does not include train journeys.

Traffic-free greenery past lakes, rivers and canals

Mostly flat, sometimes bumpy

We'll stop for refreshments at a pub in picturesque Stony Stratford, then again close to the end of the ride for late lunch at the Willen Lake cafe

Please check your bike before the ride, paying particular attention to the brakes and tyres. Bring a spare innertube, pump and tools to fix a puncture.

We never leave anyone behind
