Station Road Methley (Mickletown side). At the mini roundabout follow the sign for the national cycleway route 697/67 and we'll meet at the 'A' frame at the start of the trail next to the bench.

This is an off road, traffic free scenic route starting on route 697 of the national cycleway and crossing over Caroline bridge onto the outskirts of St.Aidan's nature reserve. From there we head into the reserve itself where we follow Lowther Lake and ride past Bowers Lake towards the Oddball main entrance. We then travel down to cross the north and south ings past Lemonroyd Lake and out at Shan house bridge, where we rejoin route 697 back towards Caroline bridge and our start point. This is a peaceful, mainly flat route which offers riders the opportunity to observe local wildlife and is perfect for beginners and for those wishing to build their confidence on a bike.
