Starting point

LS26 9ER

Station Road, Methley - after the mini-roundabout, carry straight on until you see the national cycleway route 697 sign on your right.

This is an off road, traffic free scenic route starting on route 697 of the national cycleway and crossing over Caroline Bridge onto the outskirts of St. Aidan's nature reserve. From there we head into the reserve itself where we follow Lowther Lake and ride past Bowers Lake towards the Oddball main entrance. We then travel down to cross the north and south ings past Lemonroyd Lake and out at Shan House Bridge, where we rejoin route 697 back towards Caroline Bridge and our start point. This is a peaceful, mainly flat route which offers riders the opportunity to observe local wildlife in a RSPB-sponsored reserve, perfect for beginners and for those wishing to build their confidence on a bike. Don’t forget…. Breeze are on a mission to spread the word about their rides, and  need your help. If you introduce one friend who goes  on to take part in a Breeze ride, you’ll receive a Breeze water bottle,  introduce a second  friend, you’ll be the proud owner of one of their swish Breeze  Buffs, and introduce a  third friend and Breeze will send you £15 of Love2Shop vouchers.  Read the article on the homepage for more information.   For more information visit website below http://www.goskyride.com/Breeze/ShowArticle/Breeze-for-rewards?retURL=/Breeze
