Menston Park at junction with Main St and Farnley Road

Begin at Menston Park. Cycle along the Bradford Road to Otley and exit via Farnley Lane to head towards the Washburn Valley. Once we leave Farnley Lane we are on quiet rural roads.  The route is hilly, but we will take our time, stopping for regular rests and to admire the views. The climbing is well worth while when we reach the gated farm road with views of Lindley and Coppice Woods. We circuit the woods to come out on Broad Dubb Road, before dropping down to Swinsty Reservoir and Fewston Church. We cycle along the B6451 for 5 minutes before accessing the rural lanes of Brat Lane and Jack Hill lane. We cross the bridge over Lindley Reservoir back on the B6451 before heading back towards Otley via Farnley Lane again. In Otley there will be an opportunity to stop for tea coffee and cake before heading back to menston.
