About the route
A change of route due to the forecast of high winds in our original destination! Today we are heading to Harrogate - Harlow carr RHS gardens. The route leaves Menston, via Otley and out through the quiet lanes of Castley and Weeton towards Almscliffe Cragg. From here we climb further to Beckwithshaw and on to Harrogate. The return journey involoves a steady climb to Stainburn - usually with a headwind! Then it's a downhill route along quiet lanes to Leathley, with a final climb to Farnley.
