Starting point

BS40 8TF

Car Park at Salt and Malt, Chew Valley Lake.

The ride starts and finishes at Chew Valley Lake, but climbs up onto the ridge above Blagdon Lake, before a decent back down to Chew Valley Lake. Needless to say it involves some climbs and there are two steep descents, so please ensure your brakes are in tip top condition. On a clear day the views are amazing and you'll see some lovely little hamlets and villages around Chew Valley. With some (tarmac) cycle track and a few miles of B-roads, the ride is mainly on country lanes so largely quiet with hopefully only a little bit of traffic. Bring suitable clothes for an autumn morning, and a spare inner tube is always a good idea. You'll need some money for tea at the end and parking.
