Nearly all of this route is traffic free on the trails there are steady inclines and declines, but no hills. There are two steep parts but they are short and easily dealt with. There is a small amount of road on Smithies Lane connecting two traffic free routes up..
It is a longer route but I have planned to turn around at the Dearne Valley if anyone is struggling for time or fitness.
