Mawddach Meander

This ride is the first Breeze Ride to be running in North Wales, so please come and join us for the start of this exciting new venture. The ride will start at the Marian Car Park in Dolgellau, we will meet at the end of the car park, just by the start of the Mawddach Trail (this is clearly signposted). It is a pay and display car park, so please remember to purchase a ticket from the machine. This ride is aimed at ladies who are keen to get back into cycling and would like to meet new friends. We will head out along the Mawddach Estuary Trail, with the aim of getting to Barmouth Bridge (9 very flat miles away). We will then head back and enjoy a coffee and cake back in Dolgellau. Hopefully the weather will be fine but please bring a waterproof jacket just in case! I would suggest all riders carry a drink too and a small snax. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don't have one please don't worry you can still join us. If you enjoy the ride and want to come again, perhaps you could look to buy one then. This ride is aimed at riders who can or are happy riding around 18 miles at a very steady pace to suit the slowest rider. Mountain bikes or hybrids are best suited to this trail but road bikes are also a good choice too. The ride will take approx. 120 mins, but we will never leave anyone behind and we can stop for a rest if needed or turn back at any time.. We should be back in Dolgellau for around 12.00 - just in time for tea!
