Starting from - Meeting on the road outside of Rose Hill station, the trains to both Rose Hill and Marple (a short ride away) from Manchester, get in before 9am.

Parking is a bit limited, there are some spaces around Rose Hill station.

There are no toilets at the start, but there are some public toilets in the park in Marple, which I hope will be open. SK6 6HU

This sets off from outside Rose Hill (Marple) train station, and goes along a mix of roads and paths to take us to Sett Valley Cafe. This is a small cafe, so hoping to get there before it gets too busy, so we can grab a brew and breakfast, before heading back.

I'll be doing a reccie in the new year, so there may be some route tweaks - I expect the canal could get really muddy, so skinny tyres are not advised.

Rose Hill in Marple to Sett Valley cafe in Birch Vale

Possibly some busy roads, and some canals

Stopping at Sett Valley Cafe https://settvalleycafe.com/ - this is a fab cafe, very cyclist friendly!

Please wear a helmet, and bring anything needed to fix any punctures and a pump. This being Feb, the weather could throw anything at us - so be prepared for this. Bring a bike lock, and a means of payment for the cafe.

First-timers welcome!
