Magor to Christchurch viewpoint

The route heads out of Magor into the Gwent levels as we ride around Redwick. We start climbing after about 6 miles as we head from Bishton to Underwood, followed by a steeper climb to Llandevaud. Then we head downhill along the cycle path until we turn onto the Old Roman road for our 2nd steep climb. We then follow this road as it climbs behind the Celtic Manor and then onto Christchurch. This part also contains our 3rd steep climb.
After a refreshment stop we head downhill and then a short climb into Llanwern before we go back into Bishton. Then, it's a relatively flat run through Llandevenny and back to Magor.

The route is mostly on-road using mainly quiet country lanes. There are a couple of short sections on cycle paths.

We will stop at the viewpoint in Christchurch for refreshments.

Please wear a helmet and bring along some money and a lock for the coffee stop. It is also a good idea to carry a spare tube just in case.
