Starting from - The start point is the open area beside the ruins next to Magor Square car park. You should be able to park here but if it is full, then there are additional car parks nearby in Withy Close and Sycamore Terrace by the Co-op. There is also on street parking available locally. Please note there are no toilets at the start point but Magor services are close by and we will stop after about 6 miles in Caerwent where there are toilets. NP26 3HY

The ride heads out of Magor along St. Brides valley before turning and heading over Carrow Hill to Five Lanes. From here we will loop up to Llanvair Discoed before going through Caerwent and then Caldicot park to reach the castle grounds. After a stop for refreshments and to explore the castle (if you want), we will head out to Black Rock for another brief stop to admire the views.
We will then head back towards Caldicot and using some quiet lanes, we head to Rogiet. From here there is a short section on the road before turning into the quiet lanes again as we take a scenic route over a little hill before dropping back down into Magor to finish the ride.

Most of the route is on quiet country lanes with small sections on roads and some traffic free elements.

We will stop briefly in Caerwent for a comfort break and then in Caldicot at the castle for an ice cream / coffee. We will also stop at Black Rock to take in the scenery.

Please ensure you have a helmet and bring along some money / lock for the rest stop. Also it is a good idea to carry a spare tube just in case.
