Starting point

Perthshire
PH1 5HT

Starting from outside the Sport Centre on the North inch we will use the new cycle paths and revist an old favourite route through Luncarty, Redgortton & Pitcairngreen.

All riders please wear a helmet and dress for the Scottish Spring!

Starting from outside Bells Sports Centre on Perths North inch we follow the cycle path up the banks of the River Tay and then along the River Almond. Here we divert on to the cycle path heading North and follow it to the new Destiny Bridge. It's then on to Luncarty where we pop out on to the main road through the village and head for Redgortton. We then carry straight on at a casual pace up the hill. This hill can challenge us. From there its into Pitcairngreen past the pub and down to Almondbank. Here we track back via Almondbank on to the cycle path to return to the North Inch.

We can stop whenever we want or need to! Sometimes we will stop to catch our breath, sometimes we will stop to take a photo, sometimes we will stop to take in the view - we're out to enjoy ourselves, so please let the ride leader know if there are any stops you want us to make.

Please dress for the weather, wearing whatever is comfortable for you on the bike. Generally clothing should not flap about at the ankles, as it can get caught in the chain, and watch for any clothing catching on the saddle. Be prepared for a typical Scottish spring evening!

In addition to appropriate clothing and wearing a helmet please also bring whatever is needed to fix a puncture on your own bike. Don't panic as assistance will be provided.
