LYMINGTON BREEZE: RIDE LOCAL ROADS WITH CONFIDENCE TASTER

FREE taster sessions for women by a qualified British Cycling Breeze ride leader. Breeze is an incentive to get more women out cycling and enjoying commuting, social rides, or learning to join in sportives and charity rides with more confidence. The Lymington Breeze Ride Local Roads with Confidence Taster is offering women a taster session on the National Ride to Work Day, and each Thursday at 6pm after that until 24 October, to also experience riding on the roads to gain confidence to cycle to work, take children to school and to also move on to do country road riding which can lead to being able to take part in charity rides, sportives or social rides with friends. After this date, there will be a regular session each Thursday evening at the same time of 6pm from the Community Centre, Lymington.  This will enable riders to build up confidence on short varied rides until the last session date on Thursday 24 October.  It will also incorporate the slightly darker evenings for practice in darker conditions and with lights on the bicycle. Participants can bring any style of bicycle for this session.  Gaining confidence to ride to work or ride with children to school might open up new opportunities for all. You will go through a cycle check and understand more about how to stop getting saddle sore!  You do need a road-worthy cycle though and perhaps your cycle could be looked over by the local bike store first.  Come along and meet other women and take some time to have a go!  We will be doing a very short ride down a quiet street, around a roundabout and through some leafy lanes.  There is very minimal riding on a busy main road and this will be no more than 2 miles for this taster session.   Kas Hulme - Ride Leader.
