Starting point

WV5 8DW

South Staffordshire Railway Walk, Bratch Lane, Wombourne Station. Plenty of free parking available. A height barrier is sometimes in place.

A leisurely round trip of 20 miles from Wombourne to Ludstone Hall (near Claverley). The Hall is owned by 'Mr Poundland' and is opened to the public on Sunday 12th July as part of the Open Gardens Festival. I have cycled past this magnificent property many times and now look forward to going in. Admission is £3.00. If refreshments are not available there, we can pop down the road to Bobbington Airport on our way back. This is a gentle undulating ride. The main purpose of the ride is to view the house and gardens. Ride suitable for hybrid and road bikes. Please bring usual all weather gear and spare inner tube. Estimated return time 3pm (latest).
