Starting from - Start:
Dalkeith High School / Community Campus (first left at the traffic lights heading East after Aldi's) and just at the start of the large car park area within the school grounds (near the Sustans sign). Postcode EH22 2PS.
Car parking (if you need to bring a car) can be ok within the school grounds but not always so please plan in advance. There is parking nearby in local housing estate. As it's a week day the school car park may be busy but you can also park at Sainsbury's and cycle along to the meeting point. There are toilets in the campus if needed (but please allow time for that so we can leave sharp at 10am). EH22 2PS

We will start at Dalkeith High School Campus, head up to Elphinstone, then north to Tranent and take the quiet road to Fa'side Castle, on to Whitecraigs and pick up the shared path along the Esk to the Lagoons and back to the school via Eskmills for refreshments.

We will be cycling on a mix of main roads and quieter road and shred paths. On the shared paths we will likely pass walkers, dogs and maybe tiny humans on balance bikes, so please stay safe and keep other users safe.

We will stop at the Company Bakery on the way back at Eskmills.

Please bring the following with you: Bike in good and safe working order and well maintained, a helmet, spare inner-tube / puncture repair kit, a bike lock if you have one, layers (including a waterproof incase of rain), card or cash payment if you want to buy anything at our café stop. We don't leave anyone behind but if you find yourself in a position of being unable to continue with the ride for any reason, for example in the event of a puncture / mechanical that cannot be fixed at the roadside, then you need a plan for getting back home. And of course you will need a water bottle or two, some snacks just incase we dont stop for coffee (for what ever reason), sunscreen (?) and loads of chat!

We never leave anyone behind
