Starting from - Winchelsea Beach as close to the Winchelsea Beach Café as possible. Please remember your cycle helmet, spare inner tube, pump, water to drink on the ride and money for refreshments at the end Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time so that we can do our safety checks and go through the route. It is important that you check that your bike is fully roadworthy, good brakes, gears that work and tyres that are pumped to the correct pressure – thanks, TN36 4NG

We start this ride just behind the Winchelsea Beach café, then we go through the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (traffic free), into Rye Harbour using the cycle path out of the village, into Rye and out along the Military Road for about a mile then we turn up to Houghton Green and Iden where we circle the lanes then return to Rye and out to Winchelsea Beach where we finish the ride and partake of some well earned refreshments.
Community rides are for more experienced riders in mixed groups and can be faster and longer. If you are not confident of riding in a group or in areas with more traffic then please try a Breeze or Guided Ride first where no one is ever left behind. Rides will generally be on minor roads and country lanes and will include some hills. Rides are designed to be more like a ride with your pals. We will always have a coffee (cake?) and a chat at the end of the ride.
