London Bridge loop with Hackney, River Lea, Finsbury Park reservoirs, Clissold, Regents, Hyde parks

Sunday 18th October. We'll ride to a reservoir in Finsbury Park for lunch overlooking the water then back to the start. Which is London Bridge. From there we go through Whitechapel, Hackney, and Clapton to the River Lea. Ride beside that until Tottenham Hale then use the cycleway and quiet side streets to reach our lunch stop. Afterward we first tour Clissold Park and ride through Highbury Fields and more quiet streets to Camden Town, then Regents Park, Marylebone, and Hyde Park and St James' to cross Westminster Bridge. For the last leg, Waterloo and Southwark to London Bridge.

Because the lunch spot is 2/5ths of the way around we will stop again for a coffee in the cafe we pass in Regents Park. The ride is 26 miles. If it is wet and we don't want to swing round those parks for 15 1/2 miles after lunch I have a return to London Bridge that is 7 1/2 miles on protected streets and cycleways that we can choose.

This is all on paved surfaces so it works well for road bikes.

Meet for a 10:30 start outside the Tooley Street entrance of London Bridge station, opposite Ole & Steen and Leon. Please bring a space inner tube.
