Lochend Park Loop from Craigleith

A circular route incorporating cycle paths and part of the new CCWEL (City Centre West-East Link) across Edinburgh to the atmospheric Lochend Park. We'll make a loop around the park then join the Restalrig Railway Path to Leith Links where we'll have our refreshment stop at the Leith Croft.
After our break we head towards the Water of Leith Path, through Victoria Park and then it's paths all the way back to our starting point.

Mostly cycleways and cycle paths with a couple of miles on roads where CCWEL takes us along George Street and as we link from Dublin Street through to McDonald Road, Brunswick Road and cut through to Lochend Park. All paved surfaces or tarmac apart from some short sections on Edinburgh's finest cobbles.

We will ride at a leisurely pace with plenty of catch up stops.

Suitable for all bike types. Bring card/cash for our refreshment stop, a bike lock if you have one, a spare inner tube and tools for your bike and/or a plan for getting home should you encounter a mechanical difficulty (eg phone a friend/taxi/).
