If you're fairly confident on your bike our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace this ride takes place mainly on traffic free greenways on former railway corridors, with short road sections. Join us on this 12 mile ride using a mixture of the Spen & Calder Valley Greenways and the Calder & Hebble canal. You will explore interesting urban areas and beautiful countryside, passing through the historic mill town of Dewsbury with a stop for refreshments at Saville Town canal basin. The ride takes you through the fabulous railway tunnel on the Ossett greenway link. At the Start Point look out for the Sky Ride Leaders in their hi vis yellow tops. A community cycling organisation “Streetbikes” runs cycling activities from Spenborough Sports Complex on Saturdays. At 12.30pm you can find out about their Mixed Ability cycling on the athletics track. See: www.streetbikes.org.uk
