A journey through Liverpool's finest parks, along the banks of the River Mersey to the Pier Head, and the iconic architecture of The Three Graces, the cruise terminal at Princes Landing stage, and the fabulous architecture of the Royal Albert Dock. The ride will take us from Court Hey Park past ‘The Mystery’ (Wavertree Playground) and the Bluecoat School and on to Greenbank Park, a look at Penny Lane then onto Sefton Park, Princes Park and The Gates. We make our way to Otterspool Promenade via Otterspool Park, Riverside Drive to the Pier Head, the Three Graces, the Beatles Statue and hopefully we will also get a view of a cruise ship at Princes Landing Stage. We will take our refreshment stop at Ryde Cafe in the Baltic Triangle area before returning along Otterspool Promenade and on to Grassendale. Time permitting, we will take a look at Paul McCartneys childhood home at Forthlin Road, then onto Calderstones Park, Aunt Mimi’s House (John Lennon’s childhood home), Strawberry Fields, Woolton Village and St Peters Church and Hall and Eleanor Rigby’s grave. Return via Hunts Cross and the Liverpool Loop Line to Court Hey Park.

A journey through Liverpool's finest parks, along Penny Lane and the banks of the River Mersey to the Pier Head and the iconic buildings that are The Three Graces; the cruise terminal at Princes Landing stage, and the fabulous architecture of the Royal Albert Dock. Time permitting we will also visit the The Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock. On the return journey we will visit some of the landmarks made famous by The Beatles including the venue where it all started, their family homes, Strawberry Fields and Eleanor Rigby's grave. Something for everyone!

This ride is suitable for hybrid bikes (fitted with road and off-road tyres), mountain bikes and road bikes and is mostly on hard surface roads, cycle paths and park paths.

We would normally take a refreshment break at Ryde Cycle Cafe in the busy Baltic Quarter adjacent to the old Cain's Brewery but sadly not open on Sundays; alternative stop to be advised. If further refreshment is needed (or ice cream or comfort break) we will also stop at the cafe/ice cream parlour at Calderstones Park.

All riders will be required to wear a helmet and carry spare inner tubes and the means to be able to repair a puncture (assistance will be provided if required). Don't forget some money for the cafe stop!

It is essential that everybody enjoys the ride so it will be at an approximate average of 9 -11mph, but the speed will be determined by the overall pace of the group. There will be a few stops particularly around the Pier Head and Albert Dock and, of course, the Kings Dock arena. Also on the way back, we will take in some of the Beatles ‘memorable’ places and attractions and there will be plenty of photo opportunities. Always remember though, we will never leave anyone behind!
