Little & Large Ride

Little & Large ride No, sorry, not Syd & Eddie - This is a chance for all of you who would like to try a social ride, but you're not sure. Can you keep up? Will you be fast enough? etc, etc. The truth of the matter is........It's a social ride, it doesn't matter, we've all been where you are now & we gave it a try - so can you! We've done the ride in two parts, the first is a gentle 24 miles from Longridge through some beautiful countryside and around Stonyhurst College & on to Chipping where you will soon discover what social cycling is all about: Tea. coffee, cake, chat, a giggle, more cake & more laughter. Then it's back to Longridge. That's the Little. For a lot of us, that will be enough, but some are doing a hilly charity ride in June, so they will then go up & over Beacon Fell and looping around and back to Longridge doing another 20 miles. That's the Large. This will be a really enjoyable day out with a great group of cyclists and will be a lovely ride with something for everyone. We'll ride at a steady pace of on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant ride. Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please ensure you have all the parts for your bike - pump, spare tube, multi tool. Your bike is your responsibility! Please aim to be ready to ride 15 mins before the ride start time, getting away on time is good for everyone. It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you. I'm a SkyRide Ride Leader leading guided rides & I'm also a trained route planner - I enjoy my cycling & appreciate it even more when I have people to ride with.
