Starbucks on the Brayford Marina (Down from the Odeon Cinema and near The Barge)

You are invited to join us on our Lincoln 'Breeze For Women CycloFemme Steampunk Suffragette Cycle Ride' where we are celebrating the wonder that is Woman and Bicycles! "Let me tell you what I think of bicycling. I think it has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. It gives women a feeling of freedom and self-reliance. I stand and rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a wheel...the picture of free, untrammelled womanhood." ~ Susan B. Anthony Dress yourself or your bike up in Steampunk or Suffragette style to honour those that rode before us and those that will ride after us! Dress up in 70's style, Go Cycle Chic, or Wear Lycra! We don't care what you wear or what style your bike is after all it's about the freedom to ride! Just come and join us and lets Ride Together in style and with flair proclaiming who we are and what we love! Just come for a cycle ride and have fun that's the real freedom any day! We will meet for an 11:30am Start at Brayford Wharf (Where there is a Lincoln HireBike stand for those that don't have their own bikes but want to join in!) Down the far end from the Odeon towards The Barge, & outside Starbucks. This will be a gentle ride with flair, fun and style suitable for any woman regardless of age or bicycle type, taking in some designated Cycle Paths and with a likely jaunt into the City itself if those on the ride want! Mostly a flat ride there will be some hill work (though we can get off and promenade in style instead of riding up the hill should folks want - there's no shame in that!) should it be decided by the riders that we want to go show our style and visit the beautiful Castle and Cathedral Quarter (however don't worry we've got the easiest paths worked out to avoid any Steep Hills!). Please do come join us and make this a great day of cycling, style and fun - We Ride Together TO HONOR THE PAST and the emancipation of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers, for the freedom to choose and the chance to wear pants. TO CELEBRATE THE PRESENT and the riders who keep it rolling, bringing women's racing to the forefront, pushing the limits, breaking down barriers and sharing the love of the bike with everyone along the way. TO EMPOWER THE FUTURE of women in cycling and the opportunity for positive social change. Encourage women to ride and they will change the world! Change the world a little on May 11th and come ride with us :D (If you are new to Breeze and this is your first ride there will be freebies! - if you book on and bring 2 new Breeze participants with you there could well be a lovely cycle motif scarf just for you... and freebies for them!! It could be a backpack cover, seat cover or set of lights kindly sponsored by the AccessLN6 project! - and this is extra to the Breeze goodies that you are also earn by taking part through the site!!)
