Lighthouses ride

We'll follow the coastline and NCN1 Coast n Castles route through Whitley Bay, Cullercoats, Tynemouth and North Shields to the ferry. Cross the river Tyne by the ferry (bring money for fair) and continue along the NCN1 3Rivers route to Souter Lighthouse, possibly stopping en route at a lovely cafe at Westhoe. Return by same or similar route back to St Mary's Lighthouse by the ferry. This is a challenging ride and I expect we'll be doing 10+ miles an hour. Please make sure your bike is roadworthy, lubricated and tyres are well inflated, bring suitable weather gear and water. We'll be stopping for refreshments Don’t forget….
