Join us for a relaxed and scenic ride starting from Lewes. Ride to the start if you’re feeling keen, or take the train, we’ll meet at the Depot Café (right next to Lewes Railway Station)
Expect an undulating route with a few gentle climbs, beautiful scenery and some great vistas along the way.
We’ll roll out through Lewes High Street before following the River Ouse into the countryside, winding through Hamsey, Cooksbridge and Plumpton, with views of Ditchling along the way.
Then it’s on to Hassocks for a well-earned cuppa, cake and a catch-up.
Entirely up to you if you wish to catch a train from here, or for those of you who still have the stamina & energy, we can ride back to Brighton (Preston Park), making it a great leg-stretcher without being too demanding. (Roughly an extra ~11 miles)
Riders should wear a helmet and bring a spare inner tube and bike lock
The route is a mixture of off-road/road riding, so it’s not really suitable for slick road tyres.
We never leave anyone behind
