Let's Ride to Steyning

A lovely social ride for men and women to Steyning tea rooms. Starting from Hove Lagoon we will ride along Basin Road via the power station then meander through the Portslade/Shoreham housing estates until we join the Old Toll Bridge at Shoreham. From here we will head North to Coombes road and take in some lovely views of the Downs. When we get to Steyning we will have stop for refreshments at the quaint tea rooms. Then we will head to Bramber and join the Edburton Road to Poynings. From there we will join the cycle path down the A23 and end our social ride at Preston Park where we may stop for more tea and cake! This is a road ride on mainly quiet roads but will get busier when we enter and leave Steyning. The ride is mainly flat at the start but will increase in 'lumpiness' as we ride along Coombes and Edburton Road. A good level of road riding fitness is recommended. MTB bikes are not therefore appropriate.
