Let's Ride to Lydiard Park to get ice cream!

We'll follow the cycle path through Wootton Bassett road park out to West Swindon, under the subway at Mannington roundabout. We'll then head through Westmead area and towards the Link Centre. Just after the Link Centre we'll go under the subway and climb up to Shaw Linear Park (this is the biggest hill on the ride, and you are very welcome to walk, we'll wait for everyone at the top). From here we'll follow the cycle paths through to Lydiard Park. We'll take a slightly more varied route back (which is mostly downhill!).

Join us on our regular jaunt to Lydiard Park and back to get some delicious ice cream at the Coach House Tea Rooms. This is a great route which is 95% traffic-free, following the cycle paths through the green spaces of west Swindon.

We'll be following paved cycle paths for most of the route, with a few low-traffic connecting streets.

We'll stop at the beautiful Lydiard Park to get yummy ice cream! (there are other refreshments available if ice cream is not you thing) Please bring cash/ a card if you'd like to buy refreshments.

Helmets are compulsory for under 16's and we strongly recommend that adults wear them too. We recommend bringing a drink and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.
