Let’s ride through winter hopping over the borders part I

We will leave Chirk and head towards St Martens. From there we will take the road to Ellesmere.
From Ellesmere we will take the Overton road and head towards Ruabon. There is a stretch of road which is quite undulating to get to Ruabon but we will take our time with this.

From Ruabon we will head towards Trevor where we will have our coffee stop which is at the approximately 22 mile mark. After our stop we head back to Chirk via the canal and it’s only 4 miles back to the start. Please note we won’t be going back to Chirk via the Aqueduct.

A lovely route incorporating some of the Shropshire and Wrexham borders.

The route is predominantly on main roads however these are lot quieter than your average main road.

We can stop anytime during the ride to take photos, have a breather etc. I am planning a stop for us at the chapel cafe in Trevor.

Helmets are mandatory. Please also bring a spare inner tube. Please also bring Cash or card should you wish to make a purchase when we stop. However please don’t feel obligated to do this and you can bring your own. Please bring a drink and or snack if you wish.
