Let's Ride along the old railway line to get ice cream!

We'll head through Westcott Recreational Ground to cross Wootton Bassett road and join the Old Town Railway path. We'll ride all the way up the path then go though Signal Way Industrial Estate, residential streets and Intel car park to reach Pipers Way. We'll follow Pipers Way cycle path all the way to the bottom of Croft Road and into Wichelstowe. We'll join the Wilts and Berks canal and decide from here where the group would like to stop. After this we'll head back to the start point via Peglars Way cycle path.

Join us on a loop around some of the beautiful green spaces of south Swindon, including the Old Town railway path and Wilts & Berks canal.

Most of the route will be on traffic-free cycle paths, a mix of compact gravel paths and tarmac. There will be a few short sections of low traffic connecting streets.

We'll stop at the Coop in Wichelstowe to get some ice creams (or we can divert to Hall & Woodhouse/ Waitrose if preferred!).

Under 16's must wear helmets, and we strongly recommend adults wear helmets too. We recommend bringing a drink. Please dress for the weather conditions.
