Easy paced “Let’s Go Xtra” social ride, to Trinity Buoy wharf. We cycle over to East London using many cycle paths & quiet routes, green spaces where possible and a short walk through the Greenwich foot tunnel, we stop at TBW to admire the vintage ships moored here, This point of the river has fabulous views and wonderful architecture as well as its lighthouse and art installations, including the long player. Here we will have our refreshment break, there is a nice coffee shop on site (bring a lock) a fun & exciting ride using sections of the Thames path North of the river. This is a longer ride than our regular 2 hr ride, around 27 miles, please ensure you have the stamina and fitness to keep up with the group, this "Xtra" ride starts at 9.30am sharp, aiming to reach back around 2.30pm all being well and pace of ride and riders.

We will be riding out via Blackheath to Greenwich, passing many places of interest along the way, We will wait for all riders, no one is left behind, and on the return we have the usual climb back into Bexley, but nothing too bad. Why not Come along and join the fun. This ride starts/finishes from Danson park (Danson House).

Suitable for all bike types & level of rider - Please ensure you can cycle the mileage of this ride and have the fitness & stamina.

Please ensure your bike is in roadworthy condition and that the tyres are fully inflated and ideally you have at least one spare inner-tube, and that your seat is at the correct height also that you are dressed for the weather on the day, and that you have tools suitable for your bike.

For each of our social rides, Let’s Go Cycling have committed to planting 5 trees to help tackle climate change.

Covid-19 and safety info - Please respect others.

Riders are advised to bring face masks in case there is an incident where wearing a mask would be appropriate, hand sanitiser is also advised. Bring your own tools and equipment should the worst happed, do not touch other riders bikes or equipment, (respect others) don’t attend if you have been told to self-isolate or have covid symptom’s, please Inform the co -ordinator/leader if you develop symptoms and test positive after the ride by emailing: [email protected] Your bike must be in road worthy condition and tyres correctly inflated, you should have at least one spare innertube, and ensure that your seat is at the correct height for your comfort and riding position, and that you are dressed for the weather on the day, please inform the leader in confidence if you are taking any prescribed medication of have any medical conditions as this info will help greatly if first aid is required. Please bring water and any refreshments required for the ride.
