https://www.facebook.com/groups/2243369265928023Our usual easy paced 2hr “Let’s Go Local” social ride aiming to reach back to Danson for midday - The Plumstead Mill ride is on mostly quiet roads, paths and parks where possible. We ride to find the mill which dates back to the 1820’s and was used to grind corn, We head off through welling towards Wickham street and Swing gate lane to reach Plumstead common the location of this old Mill building We cross Plumstead common navigating the back streets to reach Plumstead station and into Thamesmead West and Gallions park, here we will pick up a short section of the Thames path and loop back to Welling making our way back to Danson. There are no major hills just a few slopes and the usual climb back to Danson, however we wait for all riders, Harry leading. 12 miles "All Welcome" Suitable for all bike types and levels of rider.

All routes have been checked and risk assessed prior to the rides going ahead.
Our rides are advertised on other websites & platforms, we usually have over 10 riders on each ride – So please do not be put off if no one has signed onto or registered for this ride.
Covid-19 and safety info.
Riders are advised to bring face masks in case there is an incident where wearing a mask would be appropriate, hand sanitiser is also advised. Bring your own tools and equipment should the worst happed, do not touch other riders bikes or equipment, (respect others) don’t attend if you have been told to self-isolate or have covid symptom’s, please Inform the co -ordinator/leader if you develop symptoms and test positive after the ride by emailing:
[email protected] Your bike must be in road worthy condition and tyres correctly inflated, you should have at least one spare innertube, and ensure that your seat is at the correct height for your comfort and riding position, and that you are dressed for the weather on the day, please inform the leader in confidence if you are taking any prescribed medication of have any medical conditions as this info will help greatly if first aid is required. Please bring water and any refreshments required for the ride.
