Erith Christmas festival @ Christchurch

The Erith Christmas Tree Festival is an annual community event and fair which is held a Christ Church in Erith. 80 Christmas trees as well as window ledge arrangements, lighting effects, music and activities fill Christ Church with light and sound and wonderful festive smells! This is a real community event everyone and anyone is welcome to join in, and is now essential part of Erith’s Christmas preparation. Every tree is different as everyone is sponsored and decorated by a different person, family, charity or company. Every tree tells a story. http://erithchristmastreefestival.com/

Let’s Go Cycling will be taking part again in 2023 and will be displaying the LGC Christmas wreath made from upcycled bike parts, all proceeds go to charity.

Suitable for all levels of rider.

Please ensure your bike is in roadworthy condition and that the tyres are fully inflated and ideally you have at least one spare inner-tube and that your seat is at the correct height - Basic tools - and that you are dressed for the weather on the day.

For each of our social rides, Let’s Go Cycling have committed to planting 5 trees to help tackle climate change.

All routes have been checked and risk assessed prior to the rides going ahead.

Our rides are advertised on other websites & platforms, we usually have over 10 riders on each ride – So please do not be put off if no one has signed onto or registered for this ride.

Covid-19 and safety info.

Riders are advised to bring face masks in case there is an incident where wearing a mask would be appropriate, hand sanitiser is also advised. Bring your own tools and equipment should the worst happed, do not touch other riders bikes or equipment, (respect others) don’t attend if you have been told to self-isolate or have covid symptom’s, please Inform the co -ordinator/leader if you develop symptoms and test positive after the ride by emailing: [email protected] Your bike must be in road worthy condition and tyres correctly inflated, you should have at least one spare innertube, and ensure that your seat is at the correct height for your comfort and riding position, and that you are dressed for the weather on the day, please inform the leader in confidence if you are taking any prescribed medication of have any medical conditions as this info will help greatly if first aid is required. Please bring water and any refreshments required for the ride.
