Crossness & Erith, Thames loop:
This is one of our usual type of easy paced "Let's Go Local" 2hr social rides aiming to reach back to Danson at midday - This ride is on mostly quiet roads and paths where possible including 4 miles of the Thames path – Start/finish from Danson Park (Danson House) We head for Abbeywood and the Ridgeway and link up with the Thames path, along here it’s not unusual to see seals on the foreshore in good weather. We cycle along the Thames path taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the local area and the Crossness water treatment plant. Along the route there are some remains of old riverside architecture and jetty’s, we also get to view the Let's Go Millennium marker along the Thames path. We make our way to Erith and navigate a network of side roads, there is one hill back into Bexleyheath, but there always will be one. Nothing too hard and the option to walk it. We will wait at the top. No one is left behind, Harry leading. 13 miles "All Welcome" Please ensure you have the stamina & fitness to complete this easy paced ride.
All routes have been checked and risk assessed prior to the rides going ahead.
