Burn off those excess Christmas calories and join us on our tour around East London.
One of our Steady paced social rides “The Eastside ride” crossing the Thames to East London a super 34 mile London loop back to Danson. Taking in the liquid history of many different rivers, lost rivers and docks along the way including some roman relics even a lighthouse, we pass lots of heritage sites and places of interest including the Olympic park, a beautiful, flat, varied low risk route which uses many cycle paths and quiet ways where possible and a section of CS3. aiming to get back at 3pm ish.

We will have a brief lunch stop (bring your own lunch/refreshments)

Please ensure you are ok and have the stamina for riding 34 miles and can keep to the pace of the ride "Steady" We wait for all riders no one is left behind. Please bring a face covering an Oyster/travel card just in case, Suitable for all bike types, Harry leading.

Please ensure your bike is in roadworthy condition and that the tyres are fully inflated and ideally you have at least one spare inner-tube and that your seat is at the correct height also that you are dressed for the weather on the day.

All routes have been checked and risk assessed prior to the rides going ahead.

Covid-19 and safety info.

Please adhere to the governments current guidelines and respect others.

It is important that we maintain a 2m social distance where possible, never less than 1m. Its Particularly important to maintain social distancing from other users on shared paths. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users can maintain 1-2 m and feel safe. Riders are advised to bring face masks in case there is an incident where wearing a mask would be appropriate, hand sanitiser is also advised. Bring your own tools and equipment should the worst happed, do not touch other riders bikes or equipment, (respect others) don’t attend if you have been told to self-isolate or have covid symptom’s, please Inform the co -ordinator/leader if you develop symptoms and test positive after the ride by emailing: [email protected] Your bike must be in road worthy condition and tyres correctly inflated, you should have at least one spare innertube, and ensure that your seat is at the correct height for your comfort and riding position, and that you are dressed for the weather on the day, please inform the leader in confidence if you are taking any prescribed medication of have any medical conditions as this info will help greatly if first aid is required. Please bring water and any refreshments required for the ride remember to bring an oyster or travel card.
