Let's Get Moving - Buses, Bikes & Barges

It's time to dust off those winter blues. I'm back!
Meeting at the park & ride East Bond St in Leigh where there is a car park, we will take the guided bus route and then designated cycle route to Monton (all off rd). Then pick up the canal tow path back to Leigh.
For those of you that have done this route before you will know what a great ride it is. It would be great to catch up with you and welcome any new riders who have not yet done a ride with us.
If you are new and feel the distance might be too much for you then you are welcome to drop out at any point along the way.

A great route that is 99% off road so perfect for any rider that is nervous of traffic

The guided bus route is all off road, with a good firm surface, almost all being tarmac. It leads onto the designated cycle route (traffic free) to Monton. From there we will return to Leigh along the canal.

There often is a coffee van in Monton and always one as an option at the bridge in Worsley. Various unscheduled stops can also be made.

Helmets and weather suitable clothing are advisable. Plus any snacks/drinks and money if using any coffee stops.
