Leisurely Ride East Hunsbury - Hartwell - Olney - Denton 30m

The route is a shortened version of a really enjoyable ride put on by Alan James a few months ago (cheers Alan!). It has been planned on Komoot and I have never ridden this version. There are a few cycleways near the end, which I think were all easily rideable, though I am not recommending the use of road bikes just in case.

The route takes us from East Hunsbury to Quinton. We then skirt Hartwell and travel on to Stoke Goldington, Olney, Yardley Hastings, Denton, Whiston Cogenhoe and Little Houghton.

This is a leisurely ride, aiming for 11-12mph. Unavoidably, there will be a mixture of roads, though I am trying to keep to the quiet ones where I can. I seem to remember the full ride was not very hilly. ** As it is a social ride, we will aim to stay together as a group for the whole ride, and ride at the pace of the slowest rider. ** Please make sure you are ready to leave on time. ** We will stop at the Red Lion pub in Main Street, Denton after 20 miles. The only food I think they serve are pasties, pizzas and sausage rolls. ** Please bring a helmet and remember to put it on (compulsory), spare tube and pump, and money for the pub. ** Cheers, Richard.
