Leisure ride to Tamworth Castle
An interesting route using cycle paths, country Lanes and Roads etc.
Starting at Castle Bromwich Church B36 9DQ, Parking is on nearby roads only.
Mainly a flattish ride with just a few small hills
(Don’t worry about the hills, will wait at the top so you can walk if you need to)
Possible to alter route slightly dependant on ability of riders and types of bikes
Planning a rest point at Tamworth Castle and possibly one other decide on day
(Dependant on time)
On the route will pass by
The AVFC Training ground
Dreyton Manor Theme Park and Zoo
Tameside Local Nature Reserve
Ventura Retail Park
Tamworth Castle and Park (Rest Point)
Middleton Hall and Craft Centre (Possible some time spent here)
Between the Belfry Golf Coarse
The Cock Inn Wishaw
Please make sure you bring a puncture outfit or spare tube just in case.
NOTE, If rain is forecast all day or very strong wind ride may be cancelled
