Bede Park

A 12 mile ride into the northern most part of Watermead Park to visit King Lear's Lake. Named after the legend of King Lear, who ruled Britain in the 8th century who on his death was buried in a chamber under the River Soar. The lake exhibits statues, built on a platform in the lake, showing the final scene of Shakespeare's play King Lear. It is only success, not tragedy on this dramatic ride which also showcases the National Space Centre.
