Leggers Inn to Harold Park

This ride leaves The Leggers Inn and takes the Spen Greenway before turning off at Oakenshaw to head up to Low Moor.
We will pass the Harold Club and the mill wheel and enjoy the ride through Harold Park before re-joining the Spen Greenway and the Ringway for the return journey.
Please be aware that there are quite a few hills along the way however nobody will be left behind.
The Met Office forecast for 10:00 Sunday is currently suggesting light rain, a temperature of 18°C and winds gusting to 12 mph. Please check the forecast for yourself on Sunday morning. Please be aware that this is not a guided ride and that each participant remains responsible for their own actions or omissions at all times.

The ride starts from The Leggers Inn, Mill Street East, Dewsbury, WF12 9BD. Please note that parking charge notices have been installed within the Leggers Inn car park though they are not yet in operation. Please check that this is still the case if you arrive by car. There is alternative street parking on Mill Street East. Please note that the ride sets out from Leggers at 10.00 am prompt. A suggested arrival time is 9.45 am

This Sunday we will be travelling along greenways and tarmac roads. We will encounter a reasonable amount of traffic on those roads so riders will need to be fully confident in those situations. Mountain bikes, hybrids, gravel bikes and e-bikes are most suited to this ride.

With the exception of short stops to re-group, or to take in points of interest en route, there are no scheduled breaks on this ride. We may call for coffee at Starbucks in Saville Town on the way back to the Leggers Inn.

Helmets are mandatory on all Heavy Woollen Wheelers rides. Please bring a spare inner tube suitable for the tyres on the bike you are riding along with money/card for your coffee.
