Mud Dock

Our Ladies who ride are back again this month. The summer is on its way. This ride will be a good training ride for our First Summer Epic on 17 July (a 90km ride in the Mendips), as it will tackle a few more hills. As is usual on our ladies rides, we meet at Mud Dock at 9.30am for coffee and leave for the ride promptly at 10am. The route will take us some 53 km (that's 33 miles) with an elevation gain just short of 500m on country lanes south of Bristol. We will be leaving Mud Dock and heading out of Bristol through Ashton Court and Long Ashton, then out on small country lanes towards the Mendips via Burrington Coombe. A beautiful climb rewarded by some stunning views over the lakes. Lockers and showers are available at Mud Dock, so you can leave a bag and change of clothes. There is also a discount at the cafe after the ride. To come on the ride, you will need a well maintained road bike (not a mountain bike or a hybrid) and a helmet. The pace on our ladies rides is approximately 20km/h on average on a route with a few hills (12mph). But the group is always very supportive and we do not leave anyone behind.
