This is a challenging ride leaving Castle Douglas car park heading towards beautiful hilly country roads going through Crocketford, Shawhead, Lochfoot then heading to Beeswing for cafe stop after refueling heading back to Castle Douglas via Milton,Hardgate and Haugh of Urr.

Lads and Lasses ride Castle Douglas Loop

We will be cycling on a small section of main roads but mostly quite country roads with rolling hills.

There will be a cafe stop at Loch Arthur farm shop and there will be plenty of opportunity to stop for photos,to eat and drink.

You should bring a well maintained bike with spare tubes and pump, money water and something to eat
