Knowle to Stairway to Heaven

Join us on this Challenging ride of approximately 22 miles for ladies who are confident riders and looking to develop their distance riding, travelling at a speed of 9 - 10 mph.  This lovely route takes us from from Knowle, through the countryside of Temple Balsall, Fen End, Honiley and onto Hatton Locks where we will stop, at just under halfway, for a drink beside the famous Stairway to Heaven set of locks. Returning via Little Shrewley, Hay Woods and Chadwick End, Fen End , Temple Balsall and back to Knowle for coffee at the end of the ride for those who have time to stop,  Please park in the car park to the rear of Knowle Parish Church which has a limit of 3 hours free parking - see http://www.kpc.org.uk/index.php/about_kpc/17 for further details. We will be travelling on some main roads for as short as time as possible, with the route mainly involving B roads. This ride is suitable for Hybrid and Road bikes.  However there are in places roads whose surface may be changeable according to variable weather conditions. In the event of wet weather we recommend hybrid bikes should be used. Please remember to bring some small change for the cafe stop at the end, as well as spare inner tube, for any unexpected tyre issues!
