This is a Guided Ride, one of British Cycling's Recreation Programmes open to both men and women. Our rides are free and led by trained volunteer ride leaders. Our aim is to get more people cycling in a safe environment with the company of others whilst forming new friendships, improving our health and usually finding a cafe with coffees and cakes!
This ride is being run in conjunction with Knighton's Festival of Books, Art and Music which is taking place at Knighton Community Centre and is open for all whether you regularly cycle, haven't cycled for a a while or maybe it's something you would like to try.
We will be stopping halfway on our ride to have coffees and cakes at Aardvark Bookery where you can have a browse and refuel for our return back to Knighton.
Our rides are not fast paced and always at a speed that everyone on the ride can be comfortable with, any hills can be pushed if that's easier, lots of stops too for photos and to take in the scenery as we go along. Riding in a group you will find the miles go by so quickly and uphills are much easier!
No special clothing is required, something bright makes us more visible to other road users.. Please bring a well maintained bike, spare inner tube and pump or what you need if you have tubeless tyres, some water for yourself and money/card for the cafe stop.
A cycling helmet is recommended for all adults.
You need to be booked onto the Let's Ride website to join this ride with your full details and those of your emergency contact.
The time given for this ride may vary depending on the group on the day.
We look forward to seeing you and if you have any queries please contact me - 07817504355.
