About the route
Along canal to Mill Bank, then climb up Rectory Park to Thornhill. Along quiet roads to Briestfield, then bridle way to Whitley. At Whitley follow path down the hill to Lower Hopton Cricket Club, then through the woods, hopefully some blue bells, dropping down to Boat House Lane past the history plaques. Then past the Ship, along the River Calder at Ravensthorpe and returning along the canal to Leggers.
