From The Leggers Inn we will start out through Dewsbury to the Spen Greenway.
We will continue up the greenway until we reach the Oakenshaw turnoff and then head up Wyke Lane.
From there it will be Wyke, Scholes, Windy Bank and the Jo Cox Community Wood before heading back to The Leggers Inn.
Please be aware that there are hills along the route.
At this distance the Met Office weather forecast for 10:00 on Sunday is suggesting sunshine and white cloud with temps of 14°C. The wind could be gusting up to 10 mph.
Please check for yourselves on Sunday morning.

This week’s ride leaves The Leggers Inn in an almost a circular route which takes in the Spen Greenway before heading through the villages of Wyke & Scholes and then along Windy Bank Lane. We will then head back to the Spen Greenway via the Jo Cox Community Wood. The ride does have hills along the way but that is one of the benefits of riding in West Yorkshire.

This ride is along greenways and public roads. We look to utilise quieter roads where possible but there are busy sections and road junctions along the way. All riders must be experienced and confident in those situations.

With the exception of short stops to re-group, or to take in points of interest along the route, there are no scheduled breaks on this ride.

Helmets are mandatory on all Kirklees Riders outings. Please bring a spare inner tube suitable for the tyres on the bike you are riding. I would also remind you that this is not a guided ride and each participant remains responsible for their own actions or omissions at all times.

We never leave anyone behind
